HEY PRETTY! my name is Jasmine dueñas, I am a Licensed ESTHETICIAN, PRO MUA, and also the founder/CEO of oohjazz cosmetics.

Ive had this dream since I was very young. I was the little girl who wore makeup in elementary school, watching the beauty influencers on youtube that looked like me. Ive always known It was my passion and my outlet. I grew up getting ready extra early to beat my face down for school. I did makeup on others here and there in highschool but i always had a deep passion for more. I would customize my lashes by cutting and stacking them until my mother asked “why dont you make your own lash brand since you arent satisfied with store bought lashes?”

For 2 years i brainstormed and developed my very own cosmetics brand! At 20 years old, I started off as “oohjazz lashes” dropping April 2019 being my best decision I’ve ever made in my life! At the time I only sold lashes, then furthered my products into brows, releasing brow pomade and our double angled brow brush in September 2020. I then transitioned to OOHJAZZ COSMETICS and released summer of 2022 our very own, NUDE campaign and buttercream gloss and cream lip liners. My small brand is still growing and evolVing as i Navigate the beauty and cosmetics world. I then decided to open my books again for freelance makeup services falling back in love with makeup artistry. In 2023 i became a licensed Esthetician to further my knowledge and become licensed for my brand to make me even more credible in this industry. In april 2024 i took the leap of faith and opened up as a solo Esthetician and pro mua under “oohjazz beauty” located in North Scottsdale where you not only can shop my cosmetics but also receive makeup applicaTion, facial treatments, brow and waxing services.

I take so much pride in my black and latina owned brand on being very inclusive. I strive to set an example by making my mark in the beauty industry. I want everyone to come onto my website, social medias, and see people that look like them, products made for them, by a ceo that looks like them.

The purpose of my brand is to provide confidence especially within yourself. Its easy to push the self-love movement but no one ever talks about the qualities you have to have to gain that self love. You need confidence in everything you do and I found myself gaining a lot of confidence through beauty which helped me form confidence in everything else that I do from speaking to others or in front of large crowds, modeling, completing tasks or jobs, knowing my ideas are solid, and being sure about myself by betting on myself every single time. You know the saying, “When you look good, you feel good”? IT IS TRUE. I hope to inspire everyone especially young girls and women that It is okay to find confidence within beauty products because that is the foundation into opening up so many doors for you to walk through with your head high, and your face beat knowing you are about to KILL whatever you do.
